Sand Dollars from Rhys was created to bring comfort to young readers who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Often, we try to “fix” uncomfortable and sad feelings instead of allowing them to be acknowledged, felt, and processed. This story discusses how it is okay to feel the emotions of grief and remember times of happiness.
